Internships

During the course of time, I’ve been through many useful lessons that have led me to be the person I want to be. From college classes to internships, I have built up the ability to shape my career path.

2017

Many times an internship is a wake-up call to students that they are in the wrong major, but it was the opposite for me. It confirmed that I love the CREATIVE INDUSTRY and want to continue with it for a very long time.

My first internship as a branding strategist for Qinyou Wine Company Limited in Shang Hai gained me a chance to see and feel what it is like to function in a fast-paced and deadline-driven business environment.

Through the application of time management, organization, discipline and consistent practice, my management skills improved greatly.

Apart from handling administrative and clerical duties, I have become more confident in proposing creative approaches to shape a company’s image.

2018

QUALITY INTERNSHIPS are essential to developing key skills that I cannot get in the classroom.

As my internship working as a Programme Coordinator at The Commercial Press Limited drew to a close and I reflected back on all I have learned, I realized what an excellent experience this has been. I have learnt lots of tips and tricks on how to use computer applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint more efficiently from my editor seniors to prepare English materials Likewise, I have acquired better English communication skills when liaising with foreign publishers.

2019

It is a small taste of the real world. It has served as a beneficial ending to my formal education. To me, THE BEST WAY TO LEARN IS BY DOING.

Spending time as an Assistant Secretary to Chairman at IATS has been the most rewarding and motivational experience I have had during my time as a student at the City University of Hong Kong.

With such a compassionate Chairman, mentors and colleagues, this experience has exposed me to a place where discussions and ideas are always appreciated and respected.

I have learned to work well as a team and that without my counterparts the work would not get done. This experience has gotten me more excited to connect me with the roots of the Greater Bay Area community and I feel ready to take my next professional step in the region.
